Terms of Service

These terms apply to the CV Maker & Resume Builder mobile app.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the developers of CV Maker & Resume Builder ("the app", "we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What the app does

The app provides PDF tools, a CV and resume builder with templates, document scanning and text recognition (OCR), and tools to edit or translate text on images. Processing happens on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.

2. Using the app

  • You need to be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to use the app.
  • You are responsible for the content you create, scan, edit or translate, and for having the right to use it (for example other people's documents, photos or copyrighted material).
  • Do not use the app to create false, misleading or illegal documents, to infringe other people's rights, or to attempt to break, reverse engineer or interfere with the app or its ads.

3. Your content

You own your documents, CVs, photos and exported files. We do not claim any rights to them and we do not receive them. You are responsible for keeping backups: files are stored on your phone and can be lost if you delete them, clear the app's data or lose the device.

4. Accuracy of results

Text recognition (OCR), translation, face detection, automatic photo cropping and template layouts are automated and can contain mistakes. Always check the result before you rely on it or send it to an employer, authority or other person. We are not responsible for errors in recognised or translated text, or for how an employer or automated applicant tracking system (ATS) reads your CV.

5. Ads and rewards

The app is free and supported by ads (Google AdMob). You may choose to watch a rewarded ad to unlock premium templates for a limited time or to remove ads for a limited time. Rewards have no cash value, are not transferable and may change. Ad content comes from third parties; we do not control it.

6. Third-party services

The app uses third-party services such as Google ML Kit, Google AdMob and Google Play. Their own terms and policies apply to them. Some features download language or model files on first use.

7. Intellectual property and open-source

The app, its design and its templates belong to the developers. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices. The app includes open-source components: Phosphor Icons (MIT License), the Inter, Lora, Source Serif, IBM Plex Sans and Noto fonts (SIL Open Font License), Tesseract OCR (Apache License 2.0) and AndroidX / Material Components (Apache License 2.0). They remain under their own licences.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose, or that a CV made with it will lead to a job.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, income or opportunities arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes and termination

We may update the app and these Terms. When we do, the effective date above changes. If you keep using the app after an update you accept the new Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop offering features or the app itself.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where the developers are based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless your local consumer-protection laws require otherwise.
