These terms govern your use of deesu.org and any engagement with DEESU for development, design, technical writing, or consulting services. By using this site or engaging our services, you agree to the terms below.
Engagement and scope: Project scope, timeline, and payment terms are set out in the proposal or statement of work for each engagement, not on this page. Where anything here conflicts with a signed proposal, the proposal governs.
Payment: Payment schedules are milestone-based unless otherwise agreed in writing. Deliverables remain DEESU's property until final payment is received, after which ownership transfers to the client as specified in the engagement agreement.
Client responsibilities: Timely feedback, access to necessary accounts/environments, and accurate project requirements are the client's responsibility. Delays caused by missing input on the client's side can shift delivery dates accordingly.
Intellectual property: Unless otherwise agreed, pre-existing DEESU tools, internal libraries, and generic components used to build a deliverable remain DEESU's property; the client-specific deliverable itself transfers on final payment as above.
Portfolio rights: DEESU reserves the right to showcase completed work — including screenshots, descriptions, and links — in its portfolio and marketing materials, unless a client requests confidentiality in writing before or during the engagement.
Warranty: Every project ships with a 30-day warranty covering bug fixes at no extra cost, as described on our Services page. Work outside that window is covered under a separate maintenance agreement if one is in place.
Limitation of liability: DEESU's liability for any claim arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Termination: Either party may terminate an active engagement with written notice as specified in the project proposal; work completed and accepted up to that point remains payable.
Governing law and changes: These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which DEESU operates. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the site or an active engagement after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
